Produced by Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones, 5150 is the seventh album from American rock band Van Halen. The album was notable for its focus on love songs and ballads, rather than the standard rock format heard in previous Van Halen releases.

After the departure of original Van Halen vocalist Dave Lee Roth, the band recruited Sammy Hagar on the recommendation of Eddie Van Halen’s car mechanic. The album was named after the home studio of Eddie Van Halen, and was the first Van Halen to feature no instrumental tracks.

The album was an instant commercial success, going platinum in one week and becoming Warner's fastest million-selling record in history. 5150 hit number 1 on the US Billboard 200 Chart and has since gone on to be certified 6x Platinum in the US.
