Discovery (1CD)
The groundbreaking second album from French electronic duo Daft Punk, including colossal hits One More Time; Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and Something About Us.
Following the release of their big debut album Homework, Daft Punk went away to work on and record their second album between 1998 and 2000. Over this period, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (aka. Daft Punk) perfected a house sound heavily inspired by disco and R&B. Discovery was a global hit, charting in the top 10 extensively across the globe.
The album produced a whole host of iconic singles which still receive copious amounts of airplay, including One More Time and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. As Discovery was being released, the French electronic duo donned their legendary robot costumes, which to this day remains to be one of the most iconic looks in music. The album was also the soundtrack to Daft Punk’s visual adaptation of Discovery, in the animated sci-fi film Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem. It was done in collaboration with Toei Animation and supervised by Leiji Matsumoto; a legend of anime and manga.
